Migratory Greenhouse
"Migratory Greenhouse" is an ongoing project begun in 2007. Originally conceived as a response to the relationship between oil and agriculture, this intervention is a functional greenhouse built on the back of a pickup truck that grows a variety of vegetables and flowers. Parked in various locations around New York and Chicago, the greenhouse is an aggressive adaptation and reuse of public land for more productive means, and serves as a pedagogical tool to engage passersby in conversation on these issues.
