Working with eight actors and a director inside the County Jail in Skowhegan, Maine, Chelsea Knight and Austin Shull filmed a rehearsal of Ubu Roi, an early 20th century political parody play and precursor to the Theater of the Absurd. The fragmented rehearsals and performances by the actors highlight the arbitrary and farcical nature of our systems of confinement and incarceration.
